Dirty overpriced no hot water mice

The setting is beautiful but please read reviews at tripadvisor and other sites before you go.
the place is rundown and staffed by a few "methheads" as one reviewer put it.
someone needs to fix the place up and then it will be habitable.
the above review does not give you the full picture on this place at all. i would not go back until there is new management.

10 years of zaca lake
Posted by Sally Solomita from Los Angeles, CA on July 20, 2009
Summer 2009 marks the 10th anniversary of my family's love affair with zaca lake. for us the unique magic of the lake nestled in the hills of santa inez represents so much more than just a vacation destination.
the lake was a chumash reservation many years ago and when you first catch sight of its green tranquil waters you feel as though you have entered a secret hiding place and you can breathe in the peacefulness.
since my children were 4 & 6 years old, they have understood that this is a special place, a place of reflection and a return to the joys of nature. a chance to unwind naturally from the endless distractions that bombard everyone of us these days.
we look forward to our visits to zaca lake with great excitement because we know how important it has become to us as a family.
i really believe that the beneficial effects of this serene environment help us all throughout the months ahead. a touchstone we can carry with us until the next time we come.
