Pros: Delicious cooked breakfasts. Very close to East Beach and Tri-County Produce. Rooms are pretty with antiques and nautical memorabilia; some have fireplaces, private decks and whirlpool tubs.

Cons: A long walk from State Street and no pool.

Disappointed!

Posted by Disappointed  from Northridge, CA  on February 19, 2009

We've stayed in several bed and breakfast establishments in santa barbara. in comparison this was way below average. we stayed in the gallaher room. when you walk in there is a musky odor that remains the entire time you are there. the headboard is an ugly blue velour that needs to be cleaned. the comforter they show in the picture is not what is in this room. the comforter and shams are old and shabby. for privacy they have a shade you pull down on the door that does not work. the wall next to the bed was filthy, brownish tint. the lights above the bed had different kinds of bulbs and spider webs going through them. the bathroom has two very large cracks going up the wall behind the toilet and the sink was literally falling out of the vanity. it actually seemed like they went to a second hand store and purchased the pictures they have hanging on the wall. we were celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversay and i was very disappointed. first hand experience talking!
