Amazing location (and helpful desk staffers)

I visit the santa barbara area frequently and always seem to end up dining, shopping, etc., in the blocks surrounding hotel santa barbara. staying there made this so much easier, and twice, when i needed local information, the desk staffers assisted me beautifully. the atmosphere, vibe, and ambiance, was really quite niceāand the just about perfect location makes the hotel a super find for me.

Misfortunate experience

I had the misfortune to try the hotel santa barbara during a visit this past spring. i was truly shocked by the lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff. i have stayed at several hotels in the sb area and the hotel santa barbara staff displayed for the first time( i have experienced) a militant/crass/brutal type of service unworthy even for a prison. i would strongly recommend to avoid the hotel santa barbara. the hotel management needs to replace the desk staff immediately, they are running amok.
