Jalama Beach County Park is on the coast, north of Santa Barbara and south of Vandenberg Air Force Base. The park has 98 campsites, each with a fire pit, picnic tables and access to bathrooms, showers and running water.
Campsites are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Park officials say Jalama Beach is usually full in June, July and August. Weekends in May and September are also popular. ...

I can't belive what a beautiful campsite this is for a family! we have three kids under 7 yrs and it was beautiful, fun and relaxing. a playground, the beach, full hookups and even a hamburger shack makes this the best place we have ever camped in all of our 15 yrs of camping. i highly recommend this trip. the extra drive off the freeway is well worth the extra time. we went for a week and will go back every year for sure. enjoy !!!
