A treasure we visit every time we go to san francisco
Posted by L.A. Times Travel Editor from Latrobe, PA on September 25, 2007
It was a pleasure reading chris reynolds' article ["inside chinatown," march 25]. it capsulized what san francisco's chinatown is really all about. my wife and i were extremely happy to discover that you found a treasure that we first enjoyed more than 15 years ago and visit every time we go to san francisco: house of nanking. when we want an excellent meal, we walk down to kearny street, seek out the owner and let him do our ordering. we always have a fantastic meal as well as enjoy the theater of the place. -- alan and debbie hudock, latrobe, pa

Sf locals

I disagree with chowhound, i was introduced to the place over 10 years ago by sf locals, took others their and while the rudness and such are definitely part of the place, i have never had a bad meal there and often had great ones.
