Despite my exhortations to leave the driving to locals and use the public transportation system to get around, I know that some of you will still want to drive the crazy streets of San Francisco, or at least arrive by car. But with parking fees averaging $30 to $40 a night at most hotels, the extra charges can add up for visitors with wheels.
