Great atmosphere, great fun, for $0.00 (minus gas)

Viejas outlet mall is the very best when it comes to atmosphere and decor (lots of waterfalls, rivers and streams with beautiful plants surrounding), with cool outside colors and architecture and dramatic lighting make this an excellent place to visit and enjoy the day and nighttime. the nightfire show (late spring, summer and early fall) is exciting (i’ve seen it dozens of times, but it’s free to watch and neat to see again and again). i’m a local in san diego and a college student (so essentially i’m broke 24/7 but need to get out of house and be entertained for free; this is where i go to hangout). if you are thirsty, walk over to viejas casino and grab a free coke or free coffee and enjoy the free casino atmosphere. once you’re done there, walk back to the mall and enjoy everything in the mall – i could spend many hours soaking in the ambiance. one word of advice would be the stores: they are not good – overpriced products to the max. i recommend amazon.com or other out-of-state vendors online through bizrate.com or froogle.com, as they are generally cheaper and no super overly inflated california sales tax is charged – 8.75% sales tax? hell no!

in short, viejas outlet mall/casino is very nice and enjoyable and you can do it for $0.00 (minus gas) – this is a great place to people watch, enjoy the sunshine and water features/décor and enjoy free non-alcoholic beverages via viejas casino!
