A sufficient hotel in the heart of the city. its clean and adequate and reasonable. a good place to rest for a traveller, well located to the santa fe railway for amtrak and the sd metro trolley. 5th ave is a bonus for eattery & bars and night life. the lift and building shows its age however all works fine and is more than adequate. the cleaning regime of the toilet and showers every 20 minutes is wonderful and the laundry and common room was beyond my expectation as a kiwi traveller. the diner was also a plus with the complimentary breakfast. staff really friendly and nothing was a hassle when making enquiry or request. the security room key gave an impression of safety. overall a tumeke recommendation for anyone from aotearoa looking for an economic stay in sd.
