Stop whining

To the previous ignorant reviewer. why don't you do some research and learn that all medeval castles were made from stone that's why most of the rocks this castle is made from were imported from italy and taken off of older castles in italy. maybe you were a bunch of drunk loud idiots thats why you were treated rudely.

Heartstone castle

We visited this magnificant masterpiece that started as a dream and became a reality. the first week castello di amorosa opened we had the fortunate experience to tour the castle and taste the wine. turns out daryl was there and assisted customers in the wine tasting extravaganza:) this masterpiece that took many years of hard work to complete, is well worth the visit to napa to experience the true workmanship and efforts this man created for all of us to enjoy!

Castle of all castles

Definatley a must see destination while in napa!
just amazing, the wines have come along just great.( after reading the first review) and the lady we met at the gate was very sweet and informed us how it worked. our tour guide, cindy was a true pleasure to tour with!
a couple of the wines did need more bottle time, but still showing potential. the reserve cabs are amazing.
the late harvest gewertz is the best i have tried in california. see for yourself.
you will not be disapointed.

Admire from afar!

The castle is lovely to look at but the landscaping as of this writing (sept 07) is not completed, the moat is dry and you will get what you came for if you just stay outside. we were met by a very rude man at the castle door who asked us if we had reservations. since we were stopping by on a whim, we did not and were quickly informed that we could not look around inside unless we paid $25 for a tour and tasting. if we did not want a tour, we could pay $10 for the tasting and see rooms that led to the tasting area. we should have turned around and just left right then based on that nasty man's attitude but we went in and paid the $10. from what we could see, the castle was pretty amazing but the entire structure is built with rocks. i mean everything. after a while, it is just rock room after rock room. boring. oh. and wines? they could use a little more time in the bottle and it would be helpful if the people serving could pronouce the names of the wines. all in all - dont bother unless you got time to kill, love to look at rocks or cant tell bad wine from good wine.
