My family wanted to take a short pleasant vacation. we decided to go to catalina and stay at the macrae and it was not only rediculously over priced it was a dive! the staff is very unprofessional, the owner rude has no idea about p.r. and needs a lesson on how to run a business! someone needs to purchase this property, demo it and create a nice establishment for the public to experience. the profile of this hotel is misleading and does not come close to expressing the truth. i would never recommend this place to anyone or thing for that matter! someone please tell that witch karen biery to give it up and learn customer relations and how to operate a so called "family business"!

Decided to take a quick family trip and regretting it now! what a terrible hotel ( and terrible is putting it nicely)! karen has quite obviously rubbed off on her staff for they are just as rude and unprofessional as she is. no customer relations, no customer service, and the decor matches the owner (classless and tasteless) i would not recommend wasting your time energy or money on this establishment. a cardboard box would have suited better than this place.
