Avalon's casino was a hot spot during the 1930s. Its expansive ballroom used to hosts big bands and crowds numbering in the thousands each weekend. Currently, it's used for festivals and other special events. The casino's Art Deco theatre, which was recently featured in the book "The Last Remaining Seats," still screens films nightly, and features an annual silent fim festival.

Nothing like it anywhere

Nothing like this magnificent structure could be built today and there's nothing like it anywhere else. from the incredible views to the jaw-dropping ballroom dance floor, this well-preserved piece of history has something for everyone. tip: the movie theater on the bottom floor has first-run movies, so if you're in town, go see a movie.
