Terrible service, mediocre food

Posted by Ccris  from Los Angeles, CA  on December 16, 2007

I made reservations for saturday at 7pm for five and when we got there, the hostess assured me that i made the reservations on sunday for four people. after realizing she had made a mistake about the day of the reservation, she insisted that i had made the reservation for four. instead of sitting at the normal dining area, she proceeded to sit us in their "lounge" area without asking us or apologizing to us about the mistake. there was no "i'm sorry about the misunderstanding but the reservation was made for four. what i can do for you is sit you in the lounge area that can accommodate your whole party". no. she just directed us to the lounge area which consist of a couch, an ottoman and a coffee table with a limited menu. either she had no brain or had a memory of a gold fish, the hostess then gave us four menus! after eating the mediocre sushi that tasted like it should have cost half the price, we asked for the bill. before we had signed anything, the server said in a condescending tone, "you know that tip is not included, right?"!!! i was stunned! this was an insult to my intelligence and my character. this experience wasn't one person who didn't do their job correctly, every person that interacted with us treated us as if they were paying us to eat there. save your money and save a headache; go somewhere else.
