Believing that filmmaking itself is a bona fide attraction, Universal Studios began offering tours to the public in 1964. The concept worked: Today Universal is more than just one of the largest movie studios in the world -- it's one of the largest theme parks as well. By integrating shows and rides with behind-the-scenes presentations on moviemaking, Universal created a new genre of theme park, stimulating a number of clone and competitor parks.

Great review, but you forgot to mention the gibson ampitheatre!

That was a great review, but you forgot to mention that the gibson ampitheater is also located on universal city walk! for a limited time, if you become a premier marquee club member, you can get presale tickets and preferred seating for both the gibson ampitheatre and the greek theatre! to become a premiere marquee club member, just log on to the pmc website, www.pmcla.com or call 818.622.9987! act soon, because this offer ends on march 25th.
