Although Hollywood is the entertainment capital, Beverly Hills is where the stars come out to shine. The ultimate in posh living, Beverly Hills is ensconced by the city of Los Angeles and completes the revered "Golden Triangle" of Bel Air and Holmby Hills, some of the most upscale destinations on the planet. This enclave is tucked into the base of the Santa Monica Mountains, situated between idyllic ocean beaches and thriving downtown.
Although Beverly Hills is packed into 5.7 square miles, every inch of it has become so well known through countless films and television shows that its cobblestone paved streets and European aesthetic is easily recognizable. The Beverly Hills lifestyle and culture is so sophisticated that its sister city is nothing less than glamorous Cannes, France.
Beverly Hills is also well known for its unparalleled couture shopping experience on legendary Rodeo Drive. Hundreds flock to this three-block shopping haven every year which includes boutiques like Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Armani and Dior. Rodeo Drive also houses a larger shopping district that's trendy, more moderately priced and still as luxe as the city itself.
