What makes Carnevino unique is its obsessive pursuit of the best meat. Adam Perry Lang is a kind of meat forager for the restaurant: His job is to visit farms in the Midwest and choose specific animals for the steakhouse. At the moment, he has 15,000 pounds of beef aging in his humongous Vegas meat locker. The star of the steak menu is that pricey fiorentina for two, which by the time I visited a second time had been reduced to $145 from $160. Aged about nine weeks, it is mas...

Fantastic carnevino

Posted by Grana  from Bergen, CA  on April 28, 2009

We got married and dined at carnevino restaurant on the 21th of april 2009.
i write this to kinda thank the guys for making a good night absolutely perfect!
the food was above and beyond what i was hoping for, and the service impeccable! (i belive our main waiter we got was named robert.)
having a beer menu which almost surpassed the selected wines was a very nice touch.
their standard fixed menu was awesome. i higly reccomend their beef tartar, but every of my 6 dishes was a culinary experience.
thanks again to carnevino from a very satisfied customer.
been reading up on reviews after ive been there, and can not comprehend some of the badmouting. it can not possible be the same place i went to. but then again....i was smiling when i got there. :-)

greetings from norway

Good food lover

Posted by Food Lover  from Lafayette, CA  on July 22, 2008

Carneveno was one of the worst dining experiences i have ever had. the service was condescending, the music was very loud and inappropriate and upset my digestion, the wine steward was very fashionable but not much good otherwise. the food and wine was very expensive. our meat was slapped down on the table on a nude, plain white dish without even a sprig of parsley. the food was just ok. go to david burke's restaurant for a truly enjoyable and reasonably priced dining experience. the staff is friendly and professional, the food is great plus being fun, and the wine steward was knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his expertise.
