French chef Hubert Keller of San Francisco's posh Fleur de Lys is getting into burgers in a big way at his Burger Bar in Vegas. His basic burger is $8, which includes tomatoes, onions, lettuce and pickles. But this isn't just any beef: It's corn-fed Hereford beef from Ridgefield Farms in Washington state's Yakima Valley -- and it's fresh-ground to order. He's also got a Colorado lamb burger and a pricier American Kobe beef version from Snake River Farms in Idaho. Choose your ...

Best burger i've ever ate

Posted by crypticgeek  from North Sioux City, SD  on September 8, 2008

While i didn't eat the fancy pants $60 burger either, i did make my own using the american-style kobe beef (you can google snake river farms if you want to know more about the meat itself). i paired it with provolone and prosciutto and had it on a ciabatta bun. hands down the best tasting burger i've ever had. is it expensive? yes, but it's definitely worth the indulgence.

if you're not interested in the kobe style beef (or it's price), my dining partners said their other burgers were also delicious. the ridgefield beef was reported as no slouch, and the turkey and buffalo burgers were also enjoyed. they also offer a wide variety of toppings. i basically made a burger with an italian flair, but you could try a lot interesting pairings as well. from tomato and lettuce to foie gras and truffles, you're sure to find something to interest your pallet.

burger connoisseurs can't pass up this place.
