According to an official Nov. 9, 2007 press release, "Las Vegas Sands Corp. has announced that The Palazzo Las Vegas -- the lavish resort under development adjacent to the famed Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino -- will soft-open on December 20, 2007 followed by a series of spectacular grand opening celebratory events from January 17 to 19, 2008."
