We loved it!

Posted by Ro Zo on August 12, 2008

I just returned from three nights at the palazzo. loved it!

lovely rooms, great casino, above and beyond service. they aren't yet as full as the venetian, so they try a little harder (or, in other words, the venetian left me waiting on hold for twenty minutes when i called from my room to ask a simple question).

the interiors are beautiful to walk through and the retail is high-end (barneys and up). while connected to the venetian, the palazzo doesn’t have the schmaltzy venetian feel. the canyon ranch spa has also expanded and the palazzo side is so inviting.

i highly recommend the canyon ranch grill for dinner. the salmon with an apple slaw was outstanding and the service was exemplary! they also make these amazing organic drinks with homemade syrups, like ginger ale and cola. you need to try one!

maybe they wern't up to speed before but i'd say they are now.

Stay away from the palazzo!

Don't bother spending your time and money at the palazzo. the rooms are so-so for what you pay but the service at this hotel is horrendous, especially the front desk staff! stay at the wynn or the bellagio if you want to be at a true 5-star hotel.

Beware of theft at palazzo

Posted by cepeeler on April 4, 2008

I had all my jewelry stolen from my room (while both my husband and i were in the room) on feb. 22, 2008. we had to call the police ourselves. the hotel says they are not responsible for the theft or for the housekeeper who took my jewelry. this is not a safe hotel. i am heartsick.

Having a few problems

Posted by 8-Man  from washington, DC  on February 24, 2008

This hotel as of feb 22nd, is still under construction. also, our room seemed to have been discretely used after it was initially cleaned and prepped for our arrival. i would stay at the venetian until they get their problems sorted out.

Give it time?

Posted by Tylerparker  from Des Moines, IA  on February 18, 2008

So i have stayed at the venetian in the past and have enjoyed the large rooms with great service and style. the palazzo will be no different, i can imagine. things in our hotel weren't great but once i contacted the front desk, problems were quickly fixed. i would say that if you want something great already, stay at the v, with the same rooms exactly, i see no advantage to risking it with the new hotel. once the palazzo has been open a few months, i would think they would have the bugs worked out to give the guests a great experience.

the rest of the hotel is immaculate and wonderful, minus the pool and retail which aren't quite finished. like i said before, give it time.

Hands down best hotel/casino in vegas

Posted by christws  from manhattan beach, CA  on January 28, 2008

Give it time...the informed las vegas tourist would be aware of the fact the palazzo is in a transistional phase...its restaurant line up will blow away bellagio and wynn.

Stay in another hotel

Posted by Chelsea  from Vancouver, WA  on January 9, 2008

My husband and i prepaid our package with the palazzo three months ago. we were booked for 5 days starting january 2nd. we weren't aware the hotel wasn't open to full capacity and the hotel didn't bother to contact us. they just automatically moved us to the venetian. i would have preferred to stay at either of our usual hotels-wynn or bellagio-if we couldn't stay in the palazzo. the front desk staff at the venetian was rude and the front desk staff at the palazzo wouldn't tell us what was going on. we won't be staying in either hotel in the future and will be returning to our two hotels-wynn and bellagio-who have demonstrated excellent customer service and courtesy.
