The rather silly nomenclature of this utterly fabulous Vegas accommodation reminds us of our previous consideration regarding the Four Seasons' relationship with Mandalay Bay (located on the top floors but operated as a separate entity) -- it's part of the hotel but not precisely the hotel. In this case, this really is THEhotel, in all senses, not the least of which is that even though we were quite fond of Mandalay Bay prior to the opening of this con...

Amazing experience...

This have at the end of a smoky cloud of resorts is any frequent las vegas traveller. it's sophisticated vibe, abstract art, and private entrance welcome you to a stay in luxury. with access to mandalay bay pools and a smaller private pool, this boutique hotel is an oasis in the oasis of lv... the two room suites are great and the marble bathrooms are wonderful. the room service was eh, but what can you expect from a busy resort. i would definately recomend this hotel to anyone, because of truely lives up to its name, since it is the hotel.

Bad customer service at the hotel

Posted by Angry123  from Los Angeles, CA  on December 22, 2008

We had the worst experience of our lives this year with the hotel situation. first of all, every year my friend has a company christmas trip to las vegas. i go with her every year and it was horrible! we had reserved over 15 rooms, which included 5 suites. the power went out at the hotel so we were switched over to the mandalay bay regular room. we were unhappy that it was a smaller room and we ended up switching to the hotel when the power came back up. the thing is, we had reserved a room with 2 queens and they gave us a king sized bed! we called to tell them the situation and the manager, sylvia, was the rudest manager that i had ever spoken to. she said she couldn't do anything about it and that we'd have to stay in that room and that they had no rooms with 2 queens available. she was not even apologetic that this situation had occurred. by this time, i was angry at the principle of the situation. we were so upset we went to the mandalay bay hotel and spoke to the manager over there, brian. he was very nice and accomodating to our concern. he gave us a 2 queen right away and had the bell desk move our things right away. it just really upset me that sylvia would say they didn't have anything, but brian gave us a room right away! just know that management at the hotel is not very nice!
