Update ListingMagic lamps? Moroccan waterfronts? All dead. Today's Aladdin is Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Vegas (a lobby view, above), which just had its grand opening. The genie's touch can be seen in flowing floor-to-ceiling Swarovski-crystal designs, clean clubby lines in the casino and a celluloid celebrity focus (think your own private memorabilia museum by your bed) plus the icons of mid-Wilshire as your sustenance -- Koi, Pink's, Trader Vic's and a "Miracle Mile" mall.

We will not be back

We have gone there since 2001 at least twice a year. we went thru all the changes, noise, and other problems. but at least it was clean. rooms are dirty the trash not emptied, large trash bad from maid chart dumped under bathroom sink, dirty ashtrays when we first enter the room, dirty ice bucklets with water that looked like watered down choc milk. bath was not cleaned for the whole stay 3 nights/4 days. if you call housekeeping good luck in finding anyone to speak english or service. over half the slots are down not working major overhaul again! stay far away, better off at motel 6 at least it would be clean. rooms look like they went to the $1 store to get lamps and other room items. way over price for what you get. oh we got free rooms.

Very hip

Booked a room for $59 from priceline. the view was great, right across from bellagio's fountains (11th floor). interior rooms are very cool and chic. bathrooms redone, very roomy and elegant. large rooms, nice plasma tv on walls. this place is a mix between hard rock and the wynn.
overall, nice place--a welcome addition to the strip.
