Rip off

There were 13 members of my family staying at this casino. every room was not clean. when we got there our room was not ready so we waited 2hrs. when we got in our room we noticed the one bed looked rumpled. we pulled back the spread and saw a hole in the top sheet, the blanket and bottom sheet were wrinkled, and pillow had hair on it. the toilet didn't flush properly. we paid way to much for what we got. they also charged us a resort fee of thirty dollars when we checked in even though we bought our package in july. the so called fee was not implemented until later. we will never stay there again. we will also tell anyone we hear are planning a trip to vegas to avoid this place. a compliment is heard by one--a complaint is heard by hundreds.

Don't stay here

I had 300.00 and a digital camara taken from my room. the whole staff at the monte carlo are a joke. there housekeeping service cannot be trusted. my advice do not stay here, there are better hotels in vegas.

Bypass this place

May 2009. if you decide to stay at monte carlo please, please, please make sure you do not leave anything in your room. i am 53 years old; i work for the court system and i value myself as an honest person. i have no intention of ripping-off this establishment for a measly $100.00 worth of possessions. i contacted the monte carlo the day after i checked out to request the return of a bathing suit (hanging on a towel rack in the bathroom) and sweatshirt (hanging in the closet). after several days of leaving messages and speaking with their security department, i received a letter from denise chilipka-oltay, claim rep for monte carlo who stated the monte carlo is “not responsible for reported missing items, are unable to compensate the loss, and hope this incident will not deter my visiting monte carlo again.” i again say please……if this hotel does not hire honest maids, how safe is your property in your room? i will never stay there again and i will tell everyone else the same thing.

Excellent

Our family has stayed at this hotel almost every year since they opened. if you have a car with you, it's very close and easy to get to-- no walking for miles. the only thing that they need to fix in this hotel is that they need a better way to for customers to get breakfast. as it is, all lines are very long. they did add a coffee/pastry cart but it is usually staffed by one person who is very slow and the line moves vey slowly. otherwise, excellent hotel. never had a bad room or service. excellent casino. always win in this casino.

Stay away from this hotel

Awful hotel for any price. it was dirty, noisy without enough staff and what staff there was was decidedly unhelpful. there was even black mold in my room.

Good for the price

This is a good basic option -- a bit outdated and could really use a renovation. a little calmer than some of the other hotel casinos but well located. this is hotel is not a treat but is better than many,

Family-friendly pool area

There's nothing like a few trips around the easy river on an inner tube to make you forget about the money you lost at blackjack the night before. and the wave pool is great for kids. after swimming and sunning, the casino is a nice size -- not cavernous, but not tiny and smoke-filled, either.
