Refrigerator of Stench

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. I should have done a room inspection upon entering the room, but I didn't. I went to work after one night, and I had a lot of leftovers from lunch that I brought back with me. When I went to put the leftovers in the refrigerator, I found it full of someone else's leftovers. There was a bagged roasted chicken, the kind you can grab under the heat lamp at the grocery check out. There was a few yogurts that had been opened and a couple sodas.
The next day, I let the front desk know that the food was there, the lady behind the counter crinkled her nose in disgust as if to seem genuinely empathetic of the situation. She offered me a discount to which I replied not to worry about, just make sure it was cleaned out. When I returned from work that day, the food was still there. There was no cleaning staff on duty so this time the lady behind the counter said, I put it in the computer for the to take care of it first thing in the morning, of course I replied, I'm checking out then too.
I decided that even though I was checking out, I would take matters into my own hand, and wrote an eloquent letter that I left hanging out of the refrigerator. I'll never know if that did the trick of if the next guest was treated to the same left over food.
A co-worker of mine reported cold water in her room after our first night too, it was also not resolved after the second night. She was relocated to another room for our 3rd night, but still, what a poor failure of a hotel to relay a few simple messages. Clean the refigerator, and fix the missing hot water.
To top that, she was also offered a discount on her stay, which she accepted. Upon receiving her receipt, it was not on there.
Don't be fooled by the oh so lovely ladies behind the counter, everything you tell them, goes from their head to the keyboard, and then I guess they sit on the delete key or they have such poor typing skills the message just gets lost in translation. But you can bet any problem reported will still be a problem later.
I'm sure there is a chicken, some yogurt and sodas growing mold and some poor guest taking a cold shower.
