When dreams become nightmares

Posted by mrchubby on October 13, 2009

Not everyone is going to have a bad experience for sure but our car was a red mini cooper s convertible with 46,000 miles.

we wanted a fun car not a high performance beast

first thing we noticed was our gps died because the power socket wasn't working.

after wasting 20 miles getting lost in vegas we found our way back to hardrock and logged into the internet to get directions for a trip. due to the time constraints it had to be next morning, something my wife was not impressed at all with me for.

however i cajoled her up at 6.00am and of we went to see the sunrise.

on the way out the car broke down and was smelling like cooked goose.

it turned out that the service had not been done at all for 16000 miles ( the car actually tells you). the oil was like black sludge and the coolant had run low or out.

lucky we were only 10 miles down the freeway but it still took 4 hours to get back to the hotel.

their office opens at 8 so it took a while to get anyone.

you can imagine my wife's opinion of all this!!

the guy who came out got lost a number of times and never had much in the way of tools.

the guy at the counter was good but useless, hiding behind the lines that the supervisor had to sort out the issue, of course he never showed or returned calls.

we had to leave before this got resolved so i'm expecting problems but hey, never p*ss off an ex lawyer turned travel writer for major magazines!!

As a local i will never do business with them

Posted by Greg  from Las Vegas, NV  on October 9, 2009

Had a reservation for a specific bike, went to pick up motor cycle, only to have the clerk tell me they put me in a differant one. when i refused it, she started to question me as to why it had to be that model and that another should be fine.....the nerve of her! although, she was kind enough to let me cancel without charge! what a p.o.s. company! (the l.v. blvd. branch)

This place is a complete waste of time and money. to make the story short i rented the h1 hummer and the damn thing leaked oil and smoked the whole time. upon check in i was told that i had went off roading because my tires were dirty. no way had i gone anywere close to off roading. anyways she tried charging me 250 dollars but i argued and called her a liar and a thief in front of others in the shop so she ended up charging me 50 bucks. please do not rent from here there are not honest!!!!

Stay away from dream car rental lv

Posted by kylakerider  from benton , KY  on March 30, 2009

Yes, stay away from these guys. i rented jeep wrangler, took it to mojave national reserve. long story short: on checkout there were numerous scratches on side of the jeep. i mentioned that and was told "this is normal for these vehicles". i asked again, "will i get hit with charges for the scratches", answer "no, just other damage". ok, well i did not get it scratched, damaged, even cleaned out the inside nice for them. but it is dusty in lv area, and took it to mojave national preserve, the roads to the visitor centers are gravel part of the way, and the jeep got dusty on outside. now dream cars charge me $250 for "taking it off road". since when is a nps gravel road to a visitor center "off road". and, they say they know this because it's dusty on outside. well my friends, when the wind kicks up in southern nevada it's dusty everywhere there, even the paved roads. i am disputing this charge on cc and will get back here with results.

these guys let you check out with scratches, then charge you for off road when you bring it back dusty. stay away from dream car rentals !!

We rented a car on a time sechdual. we arrived early to find no one able to give us the keys. the man was 45 min. late. they fired up the car to find it making awful noises. luckly i was with 2 mechanics and we refused to take the car. the cars their are in bad condition with bad paint jobs scatches etc. we had to rent a car from them to get where we were going. we rented a newer one. they offered no deal or sympathy. do not rent from this company it is not worth it. you will regret it.

Scam artist and bad car conditions

Posted by Mick33  from Dallas, TX  on June 24, 2008

They guys were awful. first car they gave me was a piece of junk. i rented the ferrari 355 and a few miles after i got the car and while driving down las vegas blvd, the inside door panel fell into my lap. so i called and they said bring it back. waited for over an hour for them to swap us for another one. they also dont tell you until after you have done your paperwork that the air conditioner has been disabled. they said this was to keep the car from overheating. well it was only 106 degrees that day so i didnt mind too much, because i felt like cooking my butt on their cracked leather seats. but these were only the minor things. a few weeks later i received a $4200 invoice from them, stating that i damaged the vehicle during the rental. they claimed their was body damage to the car. which was not true. the problem was the estimate that had given me was dated 2 weeks prior to my rental. they kept sending me a letters and then finally turned it over to a collection agency. the only thing that saved my credit was that the person that was with me the whole time we rented the car was a fbi agent that vouched that the car was not damaged while in my posession. these guys are crooks, dishonest, and very unprofessional. would not recommend them to anyone. beware.

The worst car rental experience ever! these guys are complete scam artists! poor customer service (specifically from the rep "pixie", of whom has mannerisms equivalent to that of a pirate and education level no greater than a 4th grader) vehicles were also poorly maintained. one car broke down on me and had to be towed after only one day! the replacement car provided ended up malfunctioning as well (this is not a joke). i got charged $50 for a "dirty" tire on top of other erroneous charges. she explained to me that she was "doing me a favor" by not charging me $250 for the dirty tire. her explanation was the dodge viper had been taken "off-road". seriously, who would take a viper off-road? there are plenty of other local exotic rental companies. do yourself a favor and stay away from this place...especially if you're not one for surprises.
