When dreams become nightmares

Posted by mrchubby on October 13, 2009

Not everyone is going to have a bad experience for sure but our car was a red mini cooper s convertible with 46,000 miles.

we wanted a fun car not a high performance beast

first thing we noticed was our gps died because the power socket wasn't working.

after wasting 20 miles getting lost in vegas we found our way back to hardrock and logged into the internet to get directions for a trip. due to the time constraints it had to be next morning, something my wife was not impressed at all with me for.

however i cajoled her up at 6.00am and of we went to see the sunrise.

on the way out the car broke down and was smelling like cooked goose.

it turned out that the service had not been done at all for 16000 miles ( the car actually tells you). the oil was like black sludge and the coolant had run low or out.

lucky we were only 10 miles down the freeway but it still took 4 hours to get back to the hotel.

their office opens at 8 so it took a while to get anyone.

you can imagine my wife's opinion of all this!!

the guy who came out got lost a number of times and never had much in the way of tools.

the guy at the counter was good but useless, hiding behind the lines that the supervisor had to sort out the issue, of course he never showed or returned calls.

we had to leave before this got resolved so i'm expecting problems but hey, never p*ss off an ex lawyer turned travel writer for major magazines!!

Had a reservation for a specific bike, went to pick up motor cycle, only to have the clerk tell me they put me in a differant one. when i refused it, she started to question me as to why it had to be that model and that another should be fine.....the nerve of her! although, she was kind enough to let me cancel without charge! what a p.o.s. company! (the l.v. blvd. branch)
