Walking into the Charlotte is like stepping back in time. Built in 1918 by an Italian immigrant of the same name, it's warm, comfortable, and a good choice for those who enjoy the ambience of a small historic hotel. Really friendly staff, casual and fun atmosphere, lovely rooms, excellent food with good portions for fair price, all around good value for money and worth going out of your way (but its on the way to yosemite so it will be on your way) to visit.
