Transportation: From Lihue, take Kaumualii Hwy. (Hwy. 50) north, and turn left on Maalo Rd (Hwy. 583). After 4 miles, look for the parking area for Wailua Falls on the right

The best thing about this water fall is that it's super easy to get to and it's free. but that's about it. they've fenced off the hiking path that leads down to the bottom of the fall, so all you can do is lean over the roadside railing and take photos of the fall from the side. it's a quick drive from lihue or the airport, so might be a good last day stopover before catching a flight back home.
