Dubai is building a name for itself when it comes to extravagant hotels just as it is for interesting and unusual architecture. The resort-style hotel, Atlantis The Palm, is located on 46 hectares of Dubai’s iconic palm-shaped island, adjacent to a private beach and 12 kilometres from the Mall of the Emirates.
Onsite recreational facilities include Aquaventure water playground and the hotel’s Spa and Fitness Centre; a range of 17 restaurants, bars, and lounges is available.
Atlantis The Palm’s 1539 guestrooms are air-conditioned and extend to balconies with ocean or island views; wireless Internet and satellite television is included.
Jumeirah Beach is a rapidly growing seafront resort with leisure parks, shopping malls, boutiques and beauty salons. The sail-shaped Burj Al-Arab tops the luxury hotel league. Development continues, both along the coast and on artificial offshore islands. The mosaic-encrusted Iranian Hospital and Mosque are closed to the public, but the exquisite Jumeirah Mosque admits non-Muslims for guided tours.
