Yelapa, Mexico: last-minute Verana deals in April/May

Verana Bungalow

Verana, the boutique resort’s name whispers of a secluded beach getaway, escape from busy city life, and the kind of romantic tropical weekends only dreamed about through glossy travel magazines. Verana, in Yelapa, is a boat’s ride away from Puerto Vallarta and a great holiday for honeymooners or lovers who want to pack in the same romance of a honeymoon. The good news is, they have a few last-minute specials going on in April and early May. This is a terrific way to sample the resort without paying the price of their usual five-day minimum.

Deals: There are different prices for each room. Go to the rates page and click the last-minute specials link on the left for a pop-up of current deals. You can compare the sale prices with the regular prices at the same time. Example, the Mayan normally costs $340 per night, but is $290 per night plus an $80 per person per night meal plan on April 30-May 4 (four nights).

Have you been to Verana? Tell us what your favorite part of the trip was and did the Wi-Fi work well?

Caveat: Even though I just got the newsletter this morning, many of the April deals have already expired. However, Verana is also promoting July deals if you want to plan ahead. July rates start at $220 per night.

When: Late April, July 2008

  1. JRinPV Says:

Headline spelling of Yelapa is wrong.

  2. Andrew Says:

Gracias JR, we’ve updated the headline to correct the spelling.

How’s the weather in Puerto Vallarta these days?

Also, just curious, how many staff does Yelapa’s new police force have?
