Mizpee.com is a useful website that tells you where to go when you have to go.
What’s hot: You can type in an address and the site will locate the closest public toilets, with distance, rating and whether a purchase is required to use the facility.
Sites are rated on the number of “toilet rolls” (instead of stars) they merit. For example, if you’re seeking a bathroom in Berkeley, California, the site points you to the Safeway on Shattuck Avenue (which gets only one toilet roll) or Crepevine on College Avenue (which has a four-roll rating but requires a purchase).
You can even get the info text-messaged to you on your cellphone and add your own 2 cents by reviewing a facility.
And if you need some, um, bathroom reading, there’s a trivia question every day under the category “Looisms.”
What’s not: It’s a great idea, but the pull-down menus of states and cities is limited — in some states, such as Minnesota, your only choice is Minneapolis.
