In case you didn’t make it out to Asia or the Pacific islands to watch the total solar eclipse, we want to remind you that Griffith Observatory right here in Los Angeles is showing a live webcast of the event on Tuesday July 21, 2009 (the official date for the eclipse is July 22, 2009, across the international date line). The live webcast from Griffith will show the eclipse from an island near Shanghai, China, and include some commentary from curators at the observatory.
When: Griffith Observatory will be presenting it’s live webcast from 5:24 to 8:03 p.m. Here is a schedule of what you will see during the event:
5:24 p.m. PDT = First contact (when the moon first begins to obscure the sun)
6:37-6:43 p.m. PDT = Totality (when the moon completely covers the sun)
8:03 p.m. PDT = Last contact (when the moon no longer obscures the sun)
Where: The webcast will be shown on a large screen in the Gunther Depths of Space room.
Cost: Free and open to the public.
How to get there: Parking at the observatory is limited. Consult the visitors page for more info.
Caveat: The observatory notes that July is monsoon season in China and it’s not certain that there will be clear skies for the viewing.
Contact: Griffith Observatory, (213) 473-0800
There are additional eclipse resources on the Griffith Observatory webcast page, including MrEclipse where you can see great photos from the 2008 total solar eclipse from northern China.

I believe USA had an international research project titled, Extra terrestrial influence on rain fall. The findings may be reached to the people so that they can link natural phenomena to the human life/destiny.
