W hotels: Wired with Wi-Fi for bloggers

W hotel WIRED promotion imageBloggers don’t have a choice in hotels. They have to be connected. And we’re not talking about spotty Wi-Fi in the lobby. There are lots of hotels that offer strong Wi-Fi, but somehow a night at a W can be a treat.

Deals: The Wired package at W hotels delivers all-you-can-eat broadband internet, a year subscription to WIRED and a $30 gift card to PhotoFiddle.com. Prices start at $155/night in Atlanta and New Orleans but are $235 in San Diego, $275 in San Francisco and all the way to $350 in Hawaii and more in New York. Taxes, fees and spa treatments are extra.

Do you have a favorite Wi-Fi hotel?

Why Go: Because it’s possible to work and pamper yourself at the same time.

Why Not: You can find Wi-Fi for a lot cheaper. And the Wired package makes a point of saying free local and toll calls are a note-worthy amenity. Since most people don’t leave home without their cell phones, a package highlighting free local calls is a laugh.

When: For travel May 7 - October 31, 2007

More…Details: A limited number of rooms are available at participating hotels. Some blackout days may apply.
