On Feb. 14 and 15, adults can visit Long Beach’s Aquarium of the Pacific after 5 p.m. for the children’s admission price of $11.95. The special late-night fare is more than half off the regular adult admission price of $23.95. The admission price for kids stays the same during the weekend.
For those two days, the aquarium will be open until 9 p.m. Only Lorikeet Forest, the 3,200-square-foot aviary, will be closed at 4 p.m.
The aquarium is home to 12,500 ocean animals, representing 500 species.
Also on Feb. 14 (Valentine’s Day), you can share a gourmet dinner and music with your sweetheart at the Cafe Scuba for $40 per person; admission to the aquarium is included in that price.
The menu includes an entree choice of pan-seared halibut or roasted chicken breast or stuffed eggplant. (No, you won’t be eating halibut taken from an aquarium tank.)

You can combine the visit to the Aquarium with the visit to the Long Beach Museum of Arts (just down Ocean Blvd) for a really nice Valentine’s Day Saturday.
