Tripit goes mobile, adds restaurants

New online DIY travel organizer Tripit is already launching new features. At the users’ request, Tripit has added restaurants to the options for building travel itineraries. You can also add train reservations — but maybe the most important new feature you want to know about is “Tripit to Me.”

“Tripit to Me” lets you access your travel itineraries from anywhere you get your e-mail including mobile phones. Forgot your flight details? No sweat.

Just e-mail “flight plans” to plans@tripit.com and they’ll e-mail back your current flight details. Give your personal assistant, wife or mom a break and bug Tripit the next time you forgot what time your flight is. The Itinerator is ready to serve.

Haven’t heard of Tripit? I gave them a test drive after they launched in September.
