The best of California

What are the first things travelers think of when they think of California — Hollywood, San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, Disneyland and the beach? Those are destinations for beginners. The Travel section has put together a new list of the Best of California. The top 15 destinations in the Golden State that are worthy of seasoned travelers’ hard-earned vacation time.

I’ll give you one teaser — the worst hotel taxes in California are in Anaheim (they add 15% to your hotel bill).
