‘The Bachelorette’; does Maui, Hawaii, tonight
If you follow “The Bachelorette,” or just want to do some armchair-traveling in Maui, tune in to the telly tonight. At 8 p.m. on ABC, a two-hour episode of this season’s “The Bachelorette,” featuring 29-year-old Vancouver resident Jillian Harris (formerly seen on “The Bachelor”), will offer us an opportunity to explore a little Maui — along with riveting drama, of course, as Jillian further explores remaining bachelors Ed, Kiptyn and Reid.
Based at Westin Maui Resort & Spa (pictured below) and Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, the evening’s stars will begin their ventures in Kaanapali, on the island’s west side. The “Rose Ceremony” at show’s end will take place at the ocean-front Olowalu Plantation House in Lahaina.
Jillian’s private dates with each of the three men include a ropes course with Kiptyn, who, she says (on an ABC sneak preview) “seems like a perfect catch.” But this activity filled with heights and thrills should help her ascertain whether he’s the kind of guy who will be there “when things get tough.”
Other date activities on the episode’s agenda include a beach luau, a helicopter tour with Sunshine Helicopters, a picnic along seaside cliffs at Hotel Hana-Maui and Honua Spa, and a snorkeling cruise with Trilogy Excursions.
All that said, I know “The Bachelorette” isn’t for everyone. If you can’t digest the dialogue and so-called suspense of it all, then utilize the power of the “mute” button and watch the sites and scenes of Maui (along with, perhaps, some hotel-room interiors?) while catching up on your bills.

Jillian Harris needs a lesson in
grammar.!! The producers should have found a suitor who was also a tutor. Her grammatical missteps are cringeworthy. Am I the only one who notices?

Thanks for making a comment — was wondering if everyone watching TV is illiterate. Where I live this beautiful, personable and athletic woman would be considered “of less than average intellect - which is probable. I think Kiptyn’s family ruled her out on this alone. Good luck to her — she likes rodeos and cowboys and country music - she doesn’t need an IQ over 100.

Jillian is from Canada you goof..as I am. That is how we speak and I am a speech therapist.
It is diffrent in many ways..so what sounds like bad grammar is not for the culture.

Your point being what “metoo”? Are saying rodeo riders and country music stars are less intellegent than most? Or just those who enjoy the entertainment? That sounds like an uneducated, narrow minded statement to me.

i think she should choose kiptyn cause he is more manly than ed he wears short bathing suit shorts and he crosses his legs like a woman!!!! but the way the ed and jillian look at eachother they are in love!!! but they are both gorgous except ed!!

In the bachelor, Jason told Molly he loves her eyes.
In the bachelorette, early in the season, (on Ed and Jillian’s first one-on-one date) Ed told Jillian he loves her eyes.
Yes…This is simply an observation. But, they say that eyes are the key to the soul…which may prove to be correct. I think that Ed and Jillian, along with couple Jason and Molly, are in love!

Also, Jillian needs to chill out! She’s always worried about interviewing guys, seeing if they are into her enough, the way she pressured Reid. Jeeze Jillian, just fall in love! I think Jillian is in love with being in love. You’re not gonna fall in love saying “what are you looking for in a relationship?” Yes…of course these conversations are necessary but she has to fall in love for real first! This is a six week thing and crazily, love can, not always, happen. However, she should settle for having one of the guys as a boyfriend at the end of this show! Stop looking for an engangement ring! Slow down, Jillian! You’re so young! Live your life and fall in love WITH THE RIGHT GUY! Everything will be a lot different once the show is over, like it was for Jason and Melissa.
P.S. I think it will be Ed! They are in love =] I could tell from their first one-on-one date!!!

I think that it will be Ed if you have watched the whole season you can see how much they are in Love and i just dont like Kiptyn. Also You can book the cruise they go on from Maui Snorkeling Tours my wife and i were on our honeymoon last summer and loved the cruise. Maui is just one of those beautiful places you have to visit. I wish we had gone on one of those helicopter rides though because it looked like so much fun but they are very expenisve lucky for these guys the tours are on the producers.
