Tell George W. Bush what’s wrong with air travel

I wonder if Air Force One got delayed. Doubtful. So, why is President Bush taking a sudden interest in the problems all of us commoners are facing at the airports? Read Los Angeles Times Staff Writer James Gerstenzang’s article President Bush vows to minimize problems with U.S. air travel.

In the article you’ll find that Bush met with Transportation Secretary Mary E. Peters and the “acting head” of the Federal Aviation Administration, Bobby Sturgell.

Gerstenzang reports that Bush had told them ‘to make sure that consumers are treated fairly and complaints are listened to, and that we address some of the egregious behavior that our consumers have been subjected to.’”

Lets help them out. Here are some complaints/issues that they should be aware of:

* America’s Worst Airports [Forbes]
* Airline complaints [Consumer Affairs]
* Air Travel Consumer Report [Dept. of Transportation]
* Real Time Traveler Updates [Orbitz]

Oh, and then there’s this small bit about letting families pre-board.

Do you want to add any complaints to the list?
