Summer specials for golfers and spa-goers at La Quinta Resort & Club

La Quinta Resort & Club

During the summer months in Palm Springs and surrounding cities, when many of the locals depart the area for cooler climes, tourists who don’t mind the scorching heat, or who are content with indoor activities like dining and getting massaged, can rope in some great deals.

La Quinta Resort & Club is its own little luxury oasis, 19 miles southeast of Palm Springs. A desert establishment since 1926, it’s a large family-friendly property, but the layout of accommodations lends it a somewhat intimate feel, with its comfortable casitas grouped around small pools and gardens. You can check La Quinta’s “specials” page for a full list of its current package offerings, but here are a couple of noteworthy ones.

Deals: Starting at $249 per night (pre-tax), you can receive an overnight stay in a casita, one round of golf on one of the resort’s courses for one guest, a $50 dining credit for use at resort restaurants and one 50-minute treatment at the onsite spa.

But if you want to stay focused on (air-cooled) indoor relaxation, opt for the “Spa Getaway” package. From $239 per night (pre-tax), you get an overnight stay, two 50-minute spa treatments and a $50 dining credit.

When: Package rates fluctuate, depending on the dates you choose and room availability. However, you’ll get the best discounted rates for stays before Labor Day weekend.

Caveats: The package prices do not include the $27 per night (not taxed) resort fee. Dining credits cannot be used for alcoholic beverages.

Connect/disconnect: The aforementioned resort fee includes use of free wireless Internet throughout the property.
