British Airways has an irresistible sale on flight and hotel packages to Europe.
The Deal: Get round-trip economy class airfare 3 nights’ hotel accommodations and daily continental breakfasts for one low price. It makes the adage “Let’s go to Paris for the weekend” a reality.
When: Book by March 15, 2007 for travel before March 25, 2007.
Details: This is a deal because flights alone from Los Angeles (LAX) – London Heathrow (LHR) can easily cost $600 round-trip during March. The BA website has this vacation package advertised starting at $449, departing from the east coast.
From Southern California, the minimum price is $554 (before taxes) from Los Angeles (LAX) to London Heathrow. The fine print: fares are per person, based on double occupancy, with 7-day advanced purchase required. Note, there is a $30 each-way charge for traveling Thursday through Sunday and additional taxes and fees can add as much as an extra $162.50. Hotels included in the package are 2-3 stars; hotel names and descriptions, as well as general visitor information, are available on the BA website.

If you’re looking for a good meal in London that won’t cost an arm and a leg, head over to Soho and have Chinese grub. Crispy Duck Restaurant is one of many on Gerrard Street that is especially good. The cost is approximately 40 pounds for two, which is very cheap for London.
