If you’re in Paris in June, it won’t cost a cent to see the unicorn tapestries at the Cluny Museum or the Palace of Tau in Reims where the kings of France dressed for their coronations.
That’s because the French Ministry of Culture and Communication has announced that through the end of the month, no admission will be charged to see the permanent collections at 14 national museums, including the following:
Air and Space Museum, Le Bourget; Chateau de Pau, Pau; Chateau de Pierrefonds, Pierrefonds; Chateau d’Oiron, Oiron; Cluny Museum, Paris; Musee des Arts et Metiers, Paris; Musee Guimet, Paris; Musee Magnin, Dijon; Musee National Adrien Dubouche, Limoges; Museum of National Antiquities, Saint-Germain-en-Laye; National Maritime Museum, Toulon; National Museum of the Renaissance, Ecouen; Palais du Tau, Reims; and Palais Jacques Coeur, Bourges.
Merci, and vive la France.
