Ski/board passes: Mammoth, Bear Mt. & Snow Summit

A snowboarder flips over the excellent conditions at Mountain High. You did it. You made it through the summer. Maybe all you powder junkies took a trip down to New Zealand or maybe you didn’t — it doesn’t matter now because it’s finally time to get your season pass for your local ski resorts.

Skiers and boarders can save money when they buy their season passes to Southern California ski resorts like Mammoth and June Mountain, Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, Mountain High and Snow Valley before December. (We’ll write up NorCal ski resorts in a future post).

Ski Free: If you want to ski free by working at a Big Bear Mountain Resort, the winter job fairs will be held at Bear Mountain on Oct. 6, 2007 and at Snow Summit on Oct. 20, 2007. Mammoth Mountain is taking ongoing job applications for seasonal employment. Mountain High has their job fair Nov. 2 -3, 2007.

  1. Mickey Says:

Every year it’s getting less and less snow, not much to ski on. Even the artic ice is melting thanks to global warming. This will be the time to change to a different kind of sport.

  2. Parepidemos Says:

Let’s all remember Mickey’s wise advice. During stormy weather like this, there’s nothing better than curling up by the window, setting scented candles on the sill, and reading a good book on global warming as the rain patters hypnotically on the panes.

In conditions like this, it is not the time to risk driving, much less skiing or boarding.

    Or monoskiing for that matter.

Everyone stay home and be safe, please.

    ;-)
