Sink your teeth into 10 great food festivals

Kapalua Wine and Food Festival in Maui, Hawaii

Eat stone crab in Florida, sushi in Long Beach, California, oysters in British Columbia. Or imbibe on Dom Pérignon in Pebble Beach, California, and mead wine near Newport, Oregon.

All are available at food festivals taking place during the upcoming year in North America, according to the June issue of Coastal Living Magazine, which names the Top 10 seafood and wine festivals.

The list includes:

6. Crab and Wine Days, Mendocino, California, Jan. 23-24, 2009; www.gomendo.com or (866) 466-3636. Crabcake cook-off, crustacean and wine dinners are among the activities at this celebration that kicks off Taste Mendocino, a three-weekend festival that coincides with the Dungeness crab season.
