Good morning, travelers. In case you are reading this before you leave for work, a brush fire near the Getty Center broke out in the early morning hours. All lanes of the 405 San Diego Freeway were shut down in both directions through the Sepulveda Pass, but now both northbound and southbound lanes have been reopened since 6:34 a.m.
KTLA has a list of onramps and offramps that will remain closed for the time being.

The Sepulveda Pass fire erupted at the closed Mission Canyon Landfill which encompasses hundreds of acres and continues to generate highly explosive, highly flammable landfill gases. This isn’t the first fire at Mission Canyon Landfill and it probably won’t be the last.
