‘Carpe diem’ offer at Four Sisters Inns

Deal: Call a Four Sisters inn on the same day that you’d like to arrive, and if a room is available, you can snag it for the discounted rate of $125 or $145 (pre-tax), depending on the hotel. Note that to secure the deal you must utter the magic words: When the innkeeper answers your call, simply say “Carpe diem!” (or “Seize the day!”).

This deal is good, and potentially amazing. For instance, if — at the time of your call — the only remaining room available at the West Cliff Inn in Santa Cruz is a superior king spa room, then that’s what you’ll get for $125, instead of its usual hefty $400.

At Four Sisters Inns, your rate includes a full breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres and wine, a daily newspaper and extras (e.g., bicycle use, pool) that vary by location. Properties in California include Channel Road Inn in Santa Monica, Blue Lantern Inn in Dana Point, Gosby House Inn and Green Gables Inn in Pacific Grove, Seal Cove Inn in Moss Beach, West Cliff Inn in Santa Cruz, Blackbird Inn in Napa, Maison Fleurie and Lavender in Yountville, Healdsburg Inn in Healdsburg and Inn at Sonoma in Sonoma. The only out-of-state hotel is Inn at Harbor Steps in Seattle.
