SeaWorld San Diego will blend Cirque du Soleil-style acrobats, aerialists and divers with dolphins, whales and exotic birds to create a new show called “Blue Horizons” for May 2010.
The major overhaul of the aquatic park’s Dolphin Stadium will add 700 seats as well as a truss system for bungee swings and diving boards.
The current “Dolphin Discovery” show will close Sept. 7.
An identical “Blue Horizons” show has been running at SeaWorld Orlando since 2005.
Orlando audiences have complained that the popular show features too many acrobats and not enough dolphins, according to Screamscape.

I was hoping Seaworld would not clone shows, (other than believe)… At least maybe they will improve the show and bring those improvements to Orlando.

I recently saw this show in Orlando and felt that San Diego’s dolphin show is better. Orlando doesn’t have the Cirque De la Mer acrobat show that San Diego has so perhaps by moving the acrobats to the dolphin stadium, we can get something new at our water amphitheater.
