Santa Barbara: Sleep well & dine fine with B&B special

Sunset in Santa Barbara

Got a couple days to kill midweek but not up for melting in the desert? Then maybe one of the specials at the Cheshire Cat Inn in Santa Barbara will be to your liking. I came across one of its deals on BnBFinder.com: the “Santa Barbara’s Great Escape” package covers your stay and some nice meals, so you can forget researching and decision-making and get down to the business of eating and sleeping.

Deal: For $429 (pre-tax), you get the following: a room for two nights; a lunch for two (up to $35) at the Upham Hotel’s Louie’s bistro; dinner for two at Downey’s (drinks and gratuity not included); and the usuals that the inn provides for all guests including daily expanded continental breakfast, evening wine and hors d’oeuvres. Nightly rates at this bed and breakfast usually start at $199 (pre-tax).

When: This offer is available for stays Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays, until June 30, 2008.

Tip: Make this a Santa Barbara Car-free Experience. Both restaurants are less than a half-mile from the inn. To reach Santa Barbara, you could even take the train from Los Angeles. The inn is 16 blocks from the Amtrak station, and you shouldn’t have trouble catching a cab, if needed.

Contact: Cheshire Cat Inn, (805) 569.1610
