San Francisco’s Aquarium of the Bay hosts red octopuses

Aquarium of the Bay Red OctopusYou’ve already done the cable cars, Fisherman’s Wharf and the San Francisco Zoo. So, what’s new to do in the city by the bay?

If you have a gaggle of kids in tow, check out the new Small Wonders exhibit at the Aquarium of the Bay. The new exhibit features tiny creatures like the red octopuses (pictured) that change color to hide from predators and the fierce-looking wolf eels that spring out of rocky lairs to snap at prey.

If these bite-size critters don’t excite you, the aquarium has about 20,000 other sea creatures in 700,000 gallons of water for you to examine. You can’t miss the aquarium–it’s right next to Pier 39, along the Embarcadero. Tickets range from $8 for children and seniors, to $14.95 for adults.
