Warning, travelers: If you are visiting decked-out Union Square in San Francisco over the holidays, you may come home with a pet if you spend too much time at Macy’s.
Through a partnership with the San Francisco SPCA, live dogs and kittens that need homes are jumping around inside the windows — just waiting to be adopted.
The shelter animals are not free; it costs $80 to $225 to adopt a dog (cats run $60 to $100), depending on the size and age of the animal.
Take a look at some of this year’s pets in the winter wonderland; these doggies — and cats — will be in place through Jan. 1.
