San Francisco – Get 20% off Kimpton Hotels when you take BART, Caltrain

I rarely think twice about BART and Caltrain tickets when I’m done using them on trips to San Francisco. Sometimes, if I have extra change on them, I’ll pass them on to local friends. But now there’s a good reason to hold onto them: Kimpton Hotels is offering 20% off select properties in San Francisco.

Deal: Ask for package code “RTR” to get 20% off the best available rate for Kimpton Hotels in San Francisco. Some of the participating hotels include the Argonaut Hotel (pictured), Harbor Court Hotel, Hotel Monaco San Francisco, Hotel Triton, Hotel Palomar San Francisco, Prescott Hotel, Serrano Hotel and Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Then, present your ticket upon check-in to seal the deal.

Tested: I checked with the Hotel Monaco midweek in September (Sept. 10-11) and the rate for a queen bed dropped from $349 to $279 with the discount. Over near the Fisherman’s Wharf, the Argonaut Hotel dropped from $209 to $183 for the same dates.

Note: Amtrak tickets also work for the discount.
