Travel deal | Airfare Watchdog reports flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Sydney, Australia (SYD), for $1,042 round trip, including taxes. Tested: I checked out the deal and, sure enough, I found a price through Orbitz for very close to that rate. There were several dates to choose from to get a round-trip flight for $1,045 round trip, including taxes on a nonstop flight with Qantas, Sept. 6-14, 2008.
