Roundup: ‘The Amazing Race’ reveals entire route map; weird Asian hotels; hotel rates on the rise

Travel TV | Did you watch the premiere of “The Amazing Race” last night? We’re into the 13th season now and they surprised viewers by revealing the entire route map. Reality TV News has the map (above) and a country list of the 23-stop tour. Stay tuned for our post about “The Amazing Race” coming Monday from “Race” fan Susan King.

Hotel news | It shouldn’t be a surprise that hotel rates have gone up this year over last year. But what do you think the average daily rates are for Anaheim, Los Angeles/Long Beach, San Diego, San Francisco and Oahu, Hawaii? Believe it of not, it’s cheaper to stay closer to home. Their latest post grabbed my attention — 10 Seriously Unusual & Outlandishly Weird Asian Hotels. Would you spend $50,000 to stay in a hotel shaped like a toilet? The Flush Hotel, a.k.a. Haewoojae in Suwon, South Korea, is on their list.  If you stay there some of your money will go toward providing toilets in countries that are in need of better toilet facilities.
